For most of this year I’ve been working on a conceptual portrait series called Seen & Unseen. My goal was to present a figurative representation of each subject, as well as their narratives.
Pausing to really “see” someone literally and figuratively gives us a tiny glimpse of the boundary between the known and the unknown. The space where the vibrations of life and existence can only be felt.
Everyone that I painted for this series lives or works in Turners Falls. The series will be exhibited at the Great Falls Discovery Center’s Great Hall in April and May of 2018.
